Founding meeting 23 February 2008 Florence
The founding meeting of CIVILSCAPE took place on Saturday 23 February 2008 at the Villa Careggi in Florence (Italy). The meeting was hosted by the Regione Toscana, represented by Arch. Massimo Gregorini (see press release).
At the meeting the 40 representatives of 26 NGOs present gave their approval to the draft statutes, elected an Executive Board and formulated an action plan. General comments about European landscapes were made and the need for a platform was discussed (see presentation Pedroli). Moreover several NGOs gave presentations of their activities (see presentation ECOVAST). Also the draft Statutes were discussed, resulting in the final CIVILSCAPE" >Statutes.
The following day an excursion was organised by the Atelier of Mediterranean Landscapes.
