Youth and the European Landscape Convention on the eve of the tenth anniversary of the ELC, 25 - 27 August 2010 - Erba, Italy

The FEIN (Fondazione Europea IL NIBBIO) within the University of ETE and institutions together with a Protocol of Understanding signed for a shared strategic vision and integrated local development (ERBA; ALBAVILLA, ALBESE CON CASSANO; ALSERIO; AROSIO; ASSO; BARNI; CAGLIO; CANZO; CASLINO D’ERBA; EUPILIO; INVERIGO; LAMBRUGO; LASNIGO; LURAGO D’ERBA; MAGREGLIO; MERONE; ORSENIGO; PONTE LAMBRO; PUSIANO;REZZAGO; SORMANO; VALBRONA, Parco LAGO DEL SEGRINO E PARCO VALLE LAMBRO) announces the completion of the seventh edition of the University d'Ete. The previous six editions have permission to add one more stone to the building of concrete and proper application of the European Landscape Convention with the implementation of specific research in the territory as that of the monitoring and classification of historic villas of the Brianza and study feasibility Strategy for a shared and integrated local development through an agreement Macropiano Activity deployment on the territory with one of the largest companies in the computer industry.

In keeping with the theme proposed for the realization of EXPO 2015 will be addressed content related to food and sustainable policies in relation to the productive sector and in line with the Conference of the Council of Europe Landscape, also for 2010, we aims to highlight how important the culture of the local landscape facing the globalized world, especially to overcome the crisis contingent as the European Convention for the landscape-CEP invites us not so much to protect the landscape in all its forms as a aesthetics of the past, but to protect the expression of know-how, intimately linked to local resources. And 'why continue the successful initiative of the European Landscape Week (21-29 August) now in its second edition with the promotion of local cultural events and the proposed typical local menus.
