The island, with a significant population, forms an understandable unit, but has to have a degree of self sufficiency because of its island status. LEADER is active on the IOW, which will be key, along with the role of the AONB (Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty). The bottom up approach and involvement of communities (e.g. through Village Design Statements) will also be featured.
The programme format will be an excursion on Friday 15th October, a one day conference on Saturday 16th October, and the Biennial Assembly (business meeting) on Sunday 17th October. If there is sufficient demand, an extra tour will be arranged on Sunday for non ECOVAST Members.
If you would like to receive further details about this event when available, including costs, please contact ECOVAST Secretary General, Pam Moore, at pam.moore59@ntlworld.com to register your interest.
