
On the occasion of the parliamentary debate, the Deputy Minister of Environment, Energy and Climate Change stressed the importance for Greece to ratify the ELC in order to introduce rules on the protection, management and planning of all Greek landscapes.
The purposes is to establish general and specific measures relating to the legal recognition of landscape, to include cultural landscapes, regional and urban planning strategies, to apply landscape management policies and to establish procedures for involving the public in protecting and developing their landscape.
