
Among the project activities PAYS.MED.URBAN the creation of a Catalogue of Best Practices which, through the most significant and positive regions participating in the project, will be a tool for designing, building and landscape management in urban areas. The catalog will be useful for the preparation of the Third Edition of the Mediterranean Landscape Award dedicated to the theme of Mediterranean landscapes in the process of change "as a consequence of changes caused by the expansion planning, the economic activities and infrastructure.
The notice of selection - which aims to stimulate the growth of a common culture, attentive to the quality of the landscape - natural or legal persons may attend public or private, we participated in the development, implementation or management of interventions in Tuscany.
Applications may be submitted relating to the following 5 categories of assistance, provided they have been made and / or approved by December 31, 2009: experience design and development of urban planning and land use planning, building construction, infrastructure and communications, environmental improvements, actually made that stand for the search for a correct insertion into the landscape, effective awareness raising and training in relation to scenic resources, and artistic activities or professional community to stimulate attention towards the theme of landscape value urban areas. They can also apply for projects and ideas submitted to other contests or modifications are made which describe the correct placement of architectural elements in the peri-urban context, the proper use of materials and other characteristics essence will integrate landscape criteria, etc..
The announcement of the winners will take place in Seville in 2011, during the final workshop of the project PAYS.MED.URBAN.
